The PRoTechos Learn and Earn program helps underserved communities not only by rebuilding roofs, but also by creating economic opportunity for the people who live there. Our program draws from residents who are willing and able to work in residential construction, and provides them with carpentry training through hands-on education.
The program lasts approximately 3 months and has a 150 hour minimum training requirement. Trainees who complete all program requirements are awarded a stipend and a Certificate of Completion upon graduation. For many, this is the first formal recognition they have ever received. Graduates of the program are expected to teach others, and to continue rebuilding efforts in their communities.
